Admission Policy

Attributes

1. Contribute to the promotion of global peace and human health.

2. Active internationally through English communication, multicultural integration and leadership skills.

4. Proficiency in a foreign language to communicate in professional fields.

5. Basic knowledge relating to international health expected of bachelor degree holders.

6. Strong interest and desire to work towards international cooperation in the global health sector.

Desired Candidates

Qualities:
Students who have a strong interest and willingness to work in the global health field, multicultural integration, coordination, leadership, and possess the ability to communicate efficiently in the foreign language needed for the professional field.

Required Experience


Tropical Medicine Course (MTM):

Students with a doctor’s license (a doctor’s license from a foreign country also accepted).
Students with 2 or more years of clinical or corresponding experience.

International Health Development (MPH):

Although not strictly required, we prefer students with work experience (in Japan or abroad, the employment position doesn’t matter), and has community service experience (volunteer). After graduating from a valid education institution (university, nursing schools, etc.) the student has experience working with organizations such as JOCV (Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers), NGOs, government agencies, or in the private sector (in Japan or abroad).

Health Innovation (MSc):

Students with diverse backgrounds. No special work experience needed.

Selection Policy

In order to enroll the most ideal candidates possible, comprehensive evaluation will be conducted for both domestic and international applicants. Academic abilities along with submitted documents, qualifications, practical abilities, and experience will all be taken into consideration.

Please note that ALL applicants MUST submit an English test score (IELTS, TOEFL, or TOEIC) received within the past 2 years.

Please ensure that your IELTS score has not expired prior to submission.

If applicant must (re)take their English test prior to submission, please note the dates of the tests as they are only held on specific dates during the year.

It will take approximately 1-2 months test scores to be received (exact time will differ by test). For details please check with the administrators of your chosen test.
