MPH students in Nagasaki are required to participate in an overseas field training trip (2-3 weeks) and an overseas long-term practicum (5-8 months). For MPH students at the Satellite Campus these two activities are optional, not compulsory.
Overview
The Tokyo NCGM Satellite Campus was establish in 2017 as a result of the partnership of
TMGH and the National Center for Global Health and Medicine (NCGM).
The Satellite Campus offers a blended learning programme using online lectures paired with in-person tutorials by visiting professors from TMGH. The programme is geared towards professionals who are working full-time but wish to pursue a degree part-time with TMGH.
At certain times through the year, face-to-face tutorials will be held at the NCGM building located in Tokyo where students can meet with other students and also professors of TMGH who will travel from Nagasaki to Tokyo. During these tutorials, students will participate in group discussions and also be able to ask questions in-person to the professors.
